I disagree regarding needing it if you insert an SD card in the printer. I have an HP Photosmart 7960 and could read SD cards without a problem with this disabled.

I don't know exactly what this program do. But is of HP sure. In this PC have a HP OfficeJet 4255 all-in-one series. But this HP don't have any reader of SD card, so the awswer is still open.

he name \"\"Component Manager\"\" makes this process seem much more impressive than it really is -- it\'s just a program that contacts the Internet periodically to check for software updates on certain Hewlett Packard computers.
