Look its in the startup list twice, once as: Registry\\All Users\\Run & second as: StartUp Folder\\All Users... This is only if you have two or more user accounts setup on your WinXp operating system. But i did some checking and it runs the process in each user account rather the other accounts are being used currently or not. thats the adverage men usage per account active or not of: 8,536 if you have 3 accounts one admin/one spouse-kids & the other guest you have 34,144 peak mem usage and you only need the 8,536 peak mem usage, so to stop this delete both listed KBD schedualed startup process's, and reboot then in RUN type only this once: c:\\hp\\kbd\\kbd.exe & you will never see it listed twice again, And yes it will work in each account as long as its the only account logged on at the time... HP Multimedia keyboard driver - only issue is with the ESC key - press it once, performance goes to crap - press again, everything works fine. This can be maddening. No fix or patch available at HP site.
