Causes a massive memory for me, hogging > 50% of all my ram after leaving the pc on for 2 days. Few other people seem to be affected though.

As others have said it causes hard to diagnose memory leak (not logged in process explorer). Try starting without it. Wireless adaptor should still work OK, but may not recover from disconnections, so a restart of the adaptor might be required.

This is a realtek digitally signed driver - runSW.exe was installed on my computer when I bought the new D-link ac1900 wifi adapter, and then installed the drivers for it. Winpatrol caught this exe as a new startup. The wifi adapter was absolutely throttled because of this exe - real download speeds with my download manager were 500kb/s when throttled and 30mb/s when not. I blamed this on my Avast Premier av suite - because when Avast was installed, the adapter was always throttled. So I'm guessing that Avast doesn't "like" runSW.exe. I have stopped runSW.exe in microsoft services, and set it to manual in the services property settings - it can also be set to disabled.

Prone to memory leaks that commit but do not allocate memory limitlessly. This is seen in the Performance tab of Task Manager under Memory as Committed. If you are experiencing low memory errors despite the RAM showing up as free, stop the service associated with the application.
