This is needed only to use advanced touchpad features. If you don\'t scroll using the touchpad or you don\'t use tapzones, then disable it.

This is the Synaptis TouchPad application. If you use a laptop, this is most likely comletely ok to run. You should see \"Synaptis\" for company, and \"Synaptis Pointing Device Driver\" under product.

Disabling this will not effect the normal operation of the touchpad. You can still point, move, click, ect... with this disabled. I use a wireless mouse anyway, don\'t like the touchpads lol...

Have been using this successfully on HP Compaq nc6320 laptop.
Recently started taking 50% of CPU as soon as it starts at bootup.
Whole system slows.
several versions in directory as SynTPEnh(n) where n is a number.
I think these are from MSRecovery backups. This indicate that it changes in soome way over time.
Probably infected with virus or perhaps corrupted installation.
Tried reloading from HP site but no change.
I am disabling with SynTPStart untill can find solution.
Any ideas welcome.

this app enables a the touchpad pointing device on a laptop/netbook. it is definitely needed to use the laptop's built-in scrolling device and L/R buttons. however, if you use an optional usb mouse, its probably not needed
