GJC		I am grateful my company provides me a laptop 24 hours a day. I am now into my second Toshiba portege. I am far less grateful that despite several years of my two Toshiba computers automatically starting up with a range of Toshiba applications, such as TIMERz , Taudeff, Tacelmgr, tskermain etc, Toshiba still hasn\'t provided any clear or easily found advice on what these applications do and if they can be disabled safely. This exposes the Toshiba user to what may be potentially wrong and damaging advice provided by non-Toshiba \'technicians\' operating on-line.
