If you have a network that u share files with, this program makes it possible to find new users, and game consoles like ps3 and xbox 360.

I think this controls the file sharing for Media Player (Windows Media Player Network Sharing ConFiGurator). Once your xbox is able to talk to your media player and you turn this off, I think it will still work, but if you turn off your computer and restart it, the connection to the xbox might be lost. You\'ll then have to turn it back on or turn it on manually to reconnect.

It IS disabled. It CAN\'T be deleted. It keeps starting 2 more times after you kill it. There were posts that it throttles bandwidth down to 15% in conjunction with another MS proccess.

Gives non-personal information back to Microsoft about your useage of THEIR player so that they may improve future updates of WMPlayer. If you want it to improve laeve it to run, if you don\'t allow it you will not give this usefull information to MS and they may reinvent Media Center again lol. It will use bandwith but in these days of b/band is that such a problem?

cant stand this player! i\'m a composer,producer,bass player&singer so adequate reliable audio/video player is a must.WMP11 is absolute garbage.
somehow i find it \'works well\'for other online stuff!? i\'m not exactly what tho...

i don't use win media player so i disabled it. i've never had any trouble since i disable it (2 years ago)
