Harry		Can\'t get rid of it. Keeps coming back. You can go to c:\\program files\\google\\google....notification. Then I think there\'s another sub-folder with swg.dll?. you can\'t delete it, but you can move it and then when you delete it in startup, it won\'t come back! 0 0 Report Abuse
Sheila		If you use Google as your default and want to keep the toolbar, this notifes you if another program tries to change it. If you don\'t use Google as your default and don\'t care about changing the toolbar, you can delete by going to your registry - Start>Run?type in regedit-click OK. It opens the registry - Click your way through these files - My Computer\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run - this will have all of the startup files and if you don\'t recognize a name, type it in google and see what it is. If you see something you don\'t want, delete it. Other files to see are: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\RunOnce; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run (a second time); HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\RunOnce (a second time); HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\RunOnceEx. Once you delete it is gone and should not come back. If it comes back, do a spyware scan 1 0 Report Abuse
Capt. M		Not neccessary and hard to remove. I think one of its function is to cling onto your browser(very much like a parasite!) to prevent other competitors\' toolbars from replacing it(as default). Its users(us)will unknowingly use its many functions and services frequently, and when we are familiarized & comfortable with something we tends to feel that its better than other similar services, and will most likely stick to it. Phil		Ne t\'en fais pas avec ça c\'est du blabla informatique... En gros ça veut dire qu’il y a un autre programme (SWG) qui s’installe en même temps que la Barre d’outils Google pat la suite il va s’amorcer automatiquement dès l’ouverture de Windows. Ce petit programme est en faite une protection que les programmeurs de Google ont inventée pour se protéger contre la compétition et il a pour but de nous aviser lorsque des compétiteurs essayent de prendre la place de Google comme moteur de recherche principal (par défaut) en espérant qu’on va dire NON. Ce petit programme est inoffensif et prend très peu de ressources système, si tu tiens à le supprimer facilement désinstalle la barre Google dans le panneau de configuration. Si tu aimes la Barre Google pas besoin de te casser la tête avec ça. 0 0 Report Abuse
